2024* *Position Summary:* The Fraternal Assistant provides clerical and administrative assistance to the National Fraternal and Youth Director.
*Essential Functions* · Processes paperwork for matching grant program · Processes paperwork for branch activities and annual reports · Scans and verifies documents to archives · Responsible for departmental mailings and data input · Coordinates fraternal contests and awards · Contributes content to monthly newsletter and magazine · Assists with coordinating onsite, offsite, and virtual meetings and activities · Assists with selection and ordering of promotional items · Assists with the content maintenance of the fraternal sections of the association website · Answers fraternal telephone calls and emails · Other duties as assigned *Education & Experience, Skills & Abilities* · High school diploma or equivalent · 1 – 2 years’ experience working as an administrative assistant in an office environment · Excellent verbal and written communication skills including business letter writing · Proficiency with and ability to create PowerPoint presentations, manipulate data and create spreadsheets in Excel, as well as write a business letter in Word and generally using Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and data entry experience · Familiarity with _501_(c)(8) organizations a plus *Work Environment* This job is performed in a professional office environment.
This is a full-time position with business hours Monday through Friday.
Hours of work are typically 8:00 a.
m.
to 4:30 p.
m.
Additional hours may be worked as appropriate.
Work is routinely performed using standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copiers, in a fast-paced environment.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, navigate about the office, and view materials and equipment needed to perform required tasks.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Work requires the ability to reach into top filing cabinet drawers and bend or stoop to reach into bottom filing cabinet drawers.
Noise reduction devices are used when operating folder/inserting machine and postage machine.
*Travel* No travel is typically associated with this position.
