*Job Title: Grants Coordinator* *Reports To: Director of Advancement* *Work Hours: Monday through Friday, part-time up to 30 hours per week.
* *FLSA Status: Non-Exempt* *SUMMARY:* Under the direction of the Director of Advancement, with assistance from the Director of Programs and Executive Director, the Grants Coordinator will be responsible for: oversight of grants and foundations, together with advancement team and consultant, assisting in management of client management system; and assistance with program outcomes and program effectiveness, together with Director of Programs.
Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Organizes writing and submission of all foundation and corporate requests.
* Provides narrative content for government requests on a basis as determined by the Executive Director and Director of Advancement.
* Develops and maintains policies and procedures for the submission of grants.
* Maintains a summary of grant activity and reporting requirements.
Government Grant Management: * Responsible for writing content, compiling supporting documentation, and submitting grants.
Supports Grants Administrator, who acts as the primary focal point for any new government grant applications, to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and administrative requirements.
* Maintains accounting records to support various government grant audits, including the overall financial audit requirements dictated in Title 2 U.
S.
Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirement for Federal Awards ( the ‘”Uniform Guidance”).
* Addresses in a timely and effective manner any and all other requests about government grant that may arise during the normal course of business.
* Acts as agency liaison with any grant writing consultants.
* Assists in new and existing program evaluation and quality improvement.
* Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* * Bachelor’s degree * Minimum of five (5) years of experience in research, grant writing, quality assurance or CMS.
*SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:* * Outstanding personal and written communication skills.
* Ability to effectively conduct research, locate, extract, organize, evaluate, and use or present information relevant to a particular topic.
* Proven organizational and self-motivation skills * Strong analytical and planning skills * Ability to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment * Able to work independently and monitor own performance objectives.
* Above average computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel & Power Point; social media & website platforms; Adobe Software, Internet research skills and experience.
* Experience working directly with people from diverse, racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate specifically with an audience from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
