*Payroll Analyst*
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the coordination, facilitation, and assisting with the daily NASA payroll activities, driving special projects, ad hoc financial analysis/reviews, account reconciliations, maintenance of the payroll systems and payroll reporting.
This role facilitates efficient and effective interdepartmental and intradepartmental communication to aid in successful dispensing and reporting of all processes.
Completes monthly analysis of the payroll data and distributes payroll analytics / reporting to all levels within the Company as appropriate.
Administers company and employee information confidentially and keeps accurate administrative records.
*What you’ll be doing:*
* Assists team members with questions, concerns and complaints from employees, external departments, and payroll vendors.
* Analytically review the payroll pre-process for completeness and accuracy.
* Handles difficult employee payroll issues working as the liaison between team members, management, and external departments to aid in positive resolutions.
* Pro-actively leads continued process improvement, waste reduction, automation, report development, and project ownership of system enhancements and vendor relationships.
* Interprets, implements, and maintains policies and procedures pertaining to payroll.
* Coordinates and ensures all payroll audits are completed timely, accurately and all outside vendors have the necessary information for completion of audits.
* Leads cross-functional payroll projects as directed by the Payroll Manager.
* Ensures the timely production and distribution of W-2s.
* Develop key relationships within the HR and Benefits to identify, address and resolve issues that arise between departmental processes that negatively impact employee payrolls.
* Assists with all merger and acquisition payroll integration needs.
* Backup for processing the US and LATAM international payroll efficiently and accurately.
* Ability to prepare and analyze periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions via routine or ad hoc reporting, for all payroll processes.
Understands and can successfully pull reports from payroll systems as needed to satisfy all payroll objectives and audits.
* Research tax issues.
* Payroll Accounting ability to prepare, communicate, and assist with all payroll journal entries and payroll account reconciliation for month-end to close.
* Understands and works to ensure all payroll processes are compliant with any federal, local, and state regulations.
* Implement job allocation processing and reporting divisionally and departmentally.
* Provides advice, assistance, and follow up on company policies and procedures.

*What we’re looking for:*
* 8-10 years of payroll/finance and general office experience required.
* Payroll systems acumen required; experience with UKG/ Immedis payroll systems is a plus.
* Knowledge of multi country pay and employment laws, preferred.
* Knowledge of MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel.
* High attention to detailed required.
* Proven record of meeting deadlines.
* Ability to multi-task, work independently and strong problem-solving experience.
* Strong communication skills are required.
