As the Medical Practice Administrator of a physician owned ophthalmology practice, you will be responsible for the management of the practice's administrative and operational functions.
This role requires a dynamic and organized professional with a strong background in healthcare administration and revenue cycle management.
The Medical Practice Administrator will collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure the smooth operation of the practice and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
* Revenue Cycle Management:
* Oversee and manage the entire revenue cycle process to ensure maximum revenue collection.
* Monitor and analyze billing and collections data to identify trends, set targets, and improve processes.
* Negotiate with payers and maintain relationships to ensure favorable contract terms and reimbursement rates.
* Resolve escalated billing and collection issues and disputes with payers and patients.
* Operational Management:
* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of the practice.
* Implement and optimize administrative processes to enhance workflow and productivity.
* Monitor and improve front desk and reception processes to provide a positive patient experience.
* Credentialing and insurance enrollment of medical staff
* Inventory and expense control
* Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
* Ensure the practice complies with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
* Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments.
* Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain accreditation and certification requirements.
* Patient Experience and Customer Service:
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance the patient experience and satisfaction.
* Address patient concerns and feedback, ensuring prompt resolution.
* Monitor and improve front desk and reception processes to provide a positive first impression.
* Business Development:
* Maintain and grow relationships with referring providers
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
* Proven experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in ophthalmology.
* Knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing, and coding practices.
* Strong leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills.
* Capability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail.
* Proficient in the use of healthcare management software and technology.
