The Program Enrollment Specialist (Mobility Specialist) will assist in the recruitment, and enrollment and research reporting requirements for low-income families into engaging with the Community Choice Demonstration.
The selected candidate will be passionate about the Authority’s mission and will strive to advance the mission, vision, and values to internal and external stakeholders.
*EXPERIENCE: *One to two years prior experience in a program serving low-income clientele or social service area.
Experience in the Housing Choice Voucher Program as Program Assistant, scheduler or other related job duties preferred.
*Program Support*
· Carry out in-person and virtual enrollment procedures with families, including:
o confirming eligibility
o obtaining informed consent
o conducting a baseline survey
· Assist Mobility Coordinator with the planning and implementation of the recruitment processes.
· Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of outreach and enrollment information using CMHA’s software of record, and study-provided enrollment tool.
· Provide reporting updates weekly & monthly as directed by the Mobility Coordinator.
· Operate in accordance with HUD regulations, guidance, and research protocol.
*Communication and Outreach*
· Support ongoing recruitment efforts, including outreach to eligible families and follow-up communication via letter, email and phone call(s).
· Provide responsive customer service to phone, email and in-person inquiries.
Research response when required.
· Attend meetings with third-party team providing wrap-around services to mobility families.
· Coordinate with internal HCVP stakeholders, landlords, Customer Information Center representatives, and other relevant departments.
· Support ongoing landlord engagement/recruitment and retainment efforts, including outreach to property owners and follow-up communication via letter, email, and phone call(s).
*Administrative Support*
· Create and mail monthly letters to invited participants using Excel and Word Mail Merge
· Keep accurate records in CMHA’s software of record and on shared drives of the various reportable actions.
· Organize and update various files in Word in Excel
*SKILLS:*
· Broad knowledge of federal, Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Using virtual platforms like Zoom or Teams to host meetings/briefings
· Developing rapport and trust among low-income families
· Experience using software systems such as Yardi, a plus
· Experience using event planning software such as EventBrite, a plus
