Merrick House, with a five-star-rated early childhood program, is seeking a *Infant 2 Teacher* to guide the day-to-day classroom activities and operations and enhance the children’s development to best prepare them for future educational experiences.
The Infant 2 Teacher will perform duties necessary to provide total care for infants aged 6 through 18 months.
Responsible for the daily operations of the classroom.
Must possess the ability enhance children’s development and provide a safe place for infants to engage in activities.
*Requirements Include:*
* Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Child Development Associate with Infant/Toddler endorsement, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor or advanced degree including coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education.
* Must have a working knowledge of ODJFS Licensing Rules.
* Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds.
* Must be able to actively interact with preschool children by having good dexterity with ability to lift up to 40 pounds, push, pull, carry, climb, balance and kneel and the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat.
* Medical statement signed by physician or certified nurse practitioner including TB test required upon hire.
* Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check.
