Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Teachers.
As a teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun.
This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in childcare and education.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities and games
- Assist with the implementation of daily schedules and routines
- Provide guidance and support to campers during recreational activities
- Foster positive relationships with campers, parents, and fellow staff members
- Encourage camper participation and promote teamwork
- Assist with mealtime supervision and ensure dietary restrictions are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a camp, daycare, or classroom setting is preferred
- Special education experience is a plus
- Sports coaching or athletic background is beneficial
- Babysitting or childcare experience is desirable
- Knowledge of Christian counseling principles is an asset
- Tutoring or educational support experience is advantageous
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage and connect with children of various ages
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Experience with classroom management techniques
