Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Provider to join our team.
As a Childcare Provider, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children during Sunday Worship and other Church activities.
This position requires knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
* Provide a warm welcome for parents and their children and ensure sign-in procedure is followed (Sign-In: Child Name, Parent Name, Parent Contact/Cell phone, allergies)
* Assign an activity to children appropriate to their age group (free-play)
* Engage in activity/play, ensuring an interactive environment for all participants
* Offer a snack and water (no nuts)
* Sunday School: Lead a lesson as directed by Director of Children’s Faith Formation – lesson to be provided at start of Sunday School
* Lead children in tidying room prior to parental pick up
* Facilitate Pick Up and Sign-Out (parents or otherwise authorized person must initial Sign-In Sheet when signing kids out)
* Follow all health and safety regulations
* Create a safe and engaging environment for children
* Background check, drug test, fingerprinting require
Skills:
* Classroom or childcare experience is preferred
* Knowledge of childhood development and behavior management techniques
* Ability to educate and engage children in various activities
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members
* Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly
