Life’s Little Joys Childcare Services (LLJ) is a luxury childcare service that aims to be a convenient and reliable support system for families.
Our mission is to provide high-quality, safe, and fun childcare services to children in the comfort of their homes.
We are seeking an energetic and engaging *Childcare Specialist* to join our team full-time and joyfully provide childcare services to our growing list of clients in one or more of the care packages we offer to them.
Life's Little Joys Childcare Services has three (3) packages that will offer their unique purposes, allowing the Childcare specialist to explore their talents, creative nature, and academic support/encouragement in different ways.
*Duties within Packages: * _General Care Package:_The General Care package is designed for children under three (3) years old.
With this package, a Specialist maintains the safety, cleanliness, and feeding of the child(ren).
As the child reaches age three, the General Care or Artsy Package can be selected for them! _Artsy Package:_ The Artsy Package teaches children that there is more to do than watch television! With this package, a Specialist will bring enrichment activities that are of creative interest to your child(ren), such as non-toxic watercolor paints or building blocks.
_Study-Buddy Package_: The Study-Buddy Package provides additional support for academic growth.
With this package, a Specialist will offer educational support, such as homework help or tutoring, to children in our care.
*General Duties* * Keep the play, work, and dietary area safe and free from hazards while *monitoring* *children* consistently throughout the day.
* Engage in *educational* *activities* with the children, including (but not limited to) reading, crafts, drawing, coloring, and singing.
* *Keep an individual record *for each child that includes information about his or her behaviors, daily activities, meals eaten, medications received, and other important and mundane details.
*Discuss this information with each child’s parent(s) regularly*.
* *Discipline* unruly children as needed, using creative ways to demonstrate and encourage good behavior such as picking up after themselves, participating in lesson plans, and treating each other kindly.
* *Teach* children the importance of good personal hygiene and health habits, including the importance of brushing their teeth, eating healthy food, using the toilet, and getting adequate rest.
* Change diapers, dress children, and assist them with their snacks, drinks, and meals as needed.
* *Sanitize* play equipment, games, and toys regularly to keep them safe and attractive while minimizing the spread of germs.
* *Develop* a schedule to maintain throughout the day * Maintain contact with the child(ren)’s parents and LLJ * Maintain professional appearance as instructed in the LLJ’s Uniform Code * Maintain limited interactions with personal electronic devices and none with social media * Arrive to work on time and notify a supervisor if running behind * Maintain a high level of *professionalism* while interacting with customers * Contacting customers before arriving on site to introduce yourself * Perform additional duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

* Caring, compassionate, and patient.
* Skilled at developing and leading children in fun learning activities.
* Ability to help with homework.
* Second language a plus.
*Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:* * Minimum *one (1) year* of experience as a babysitter, nanny, teacher, camp counselor, or similar.
* *Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
* * *Must be willing to undergo a drug screen and background screen.
* * Certification in first aid and child and infant CPR preferred.
* Experience with special needs children, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification a plus.
* High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in child development or similar a plus.
* State certification in early childhood education a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: Up to $18.
