*General Summary*
The Computer Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining embedded software applications for various microprocessors as well as developing code for FPGAs using VHDL.
*Education*
* Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.
* Working knowledge in C/C++, C#, Java, DLL, COM, and DOT NET
*Job Responsibilities*
* Design and develop custom software.
* Test and de-bug software.
* Document software and update/write user manuals for the use of this software.
* Provide hardware design and modification recommendations to management.
*Physical Requirements*
* Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
Requires extended periods of standing, walking and sitting.
* Normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
* Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
*Level of Supervision*
* This position reports directly to the VP/Senior Engineer
* Proactive interaction with the engineering and production departments
