Join us! The IT Security Engineer will be a key member of the Infrastructure and Security Team, working closely with the other members of the Infrastructure team and business to create and maintain an effective security fabric while enabling a strong digital collaboration environment.
This role will report to the IT Security Manager.
The individual will need strong technical skills, an understanding of IT security frameworks, ability to learn new technologies and products with a strong attention to details.
This role is structured as a hybrid position to be based at our Corporate Office in Mayfield Heights, OH or at our facility in Newton, MA.
You Will Have An Opportunity To: Maintain the daily operations of the various security products and platforms Identify, investigate, escalate, or resolve security events detected by the security products or services through the review of logs and other alert mechanisms Implement new products, services, or procedures Maintain associated documentation including policies and procedures Provide input to the enterprise security architecture Assist in the evaluation and selection of new products or services.
Assist in the development and review of procedures Participates in the planning, design and testing of the business continuity and disaster recovery plan Participates in the vulnerability assessment process Stay current in IT security trends, vulnerabilities, and products REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience with industry certifications (CompTIA, GIAC, Cisco or ISC2) A minimum of 2 year's of experience in IT Infrastructure Knowledge of firewalls, network security concepts and end-point security products Basic understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP networking fundamentals Understanding of the current threat landscape (threat actors, APT and cybercrime) Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration Knowledge of Cyber security tools including End point detection, Email security solutions, Security awareness training solutions, Privileged access management solutions and other security related technologies Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Sentinel a plus Understanding of PKI and certificate lifecycle Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment Ability to conduct research into security issues and products Collaboration skills with colleagues with technology and non-technology backgrounds Business communications skills in both oral and written communications Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to assess risk based on a quantitative or qualitative approach #LI-AS1 The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.
