Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op/Intern
Provide support to the manufacturing engineering group through work on manufacturing projects and processes as assigned.
This includes, but not limited to, development and implementation of new processes, investigating and proposing new rules for BOM & Routings, and ensuring accurate documentation of the manufacturing process capability and capacity.
They must perform their daily task and project work in the most cost effective manner while meeting customer needs and ensuring quality and workmanship is help to Hose Master standards.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Product/manufacturing optimization for efficiency and performance
New machine sourcing as dictated by other engineers
Developing and documenting necessary quality information
Assist with implementation process improvements to the design procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy
Prepare technical drawings as needed
Perform process time studies as needed
Recognize other issues and perform necessary duties to correct problems
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
CAD experience (preferably a 3-D software package)
Good mechanical aptitude
Good math skills
Strong communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Working towards a technical engineering degree
Physical Requirements
Walk up to a 1/4 mile at a time
Bend, squat, reaches as needed
Have good vision/corrected to 20-20
Good hearing and finger dexterity
Must understand and speak English
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and/or carrying objects up to 50lbs
Environmental requirements include working indoors in a high noise level and humid environment
