Job Title: Special Operations Generalist
Department: Fulfillment/Operations
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Independence, OH (Hybrid)
**Hours for this role are 7am-3:30pm Eastern.
In-office days will rotate per week.
About The Role:
As a Specialist Operations Generalist, you play a very important role in the background check process.
You are responsible for ensuring letters and report disclosures mandated by federal and state laws processed either for Sterling or on behalf of Sterling’s clients are sent to the subject of the background report in a timely manner.

This is What You’ll Do:
Email daily adverse action/compliance letters and consumer reports from various Sterling production systems (standard and custom processes)
Review all letters/reports to be emailed to ensure:
Applicant email address is complete
All attachments match applicant
Correct rights are provided
Place on hold or stop final adverse action letters in the Sterling production systems if such requests are received from Client Services or the Dispute Team
Reprocess e-mailing if an updated address is provided
Track daily pieces of mail sent out by mail type in a spreadsheet
Monitor various mailboxes and answer emails sent by internal and external customers
Identify technical issues, submit helpdesk tickets, ensure follow-up until resolved

This Is What We’re Looking For:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least two years related office experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus
The salary for this position is $15 per hour or the minimum wage in your local market, whichever is greater.
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
In addition to base pay, this role is eligible to participate in the Annual Incentive Plan.
A full range of benefits including but not limited to medical, financial, unlimited sick time, 22 days’ vacation annually (for FT workers; prorated 1st year of employment), parental leave and other benefits are also provided.
