About the Dock Master position: Seasonal/Summer Job
Customer service is a must.
Meet and greet every member with a smile and always be of assistance.
Arrive at work, check, and fuel vessels.
Prep all vessels (board vessel, start boat, ensure all system are functional, all safety gear on board vessel, vessel is in proper working order).
Assist members and guests on and off boats, assist them with any gear they may have.
Complete a thorough checkout via our electronic reservation system on company iPads.
Complete a thorough check-in/finalization and obtain electronic funds for members fuel consumption.
Clean the vessel thoroughly upon return.
Answer and field any questions from members via in person or on the phone.
Perform minor maintenance on vessels to ensure basic safety systems are operational.
The day will typically start at 8:00am and end at or around sunset
Qualifications:
- 18+
- Communicate via cell phone - Boating experience
- Friendly customer service
- Effective communication skill - High attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry 30lb equipment occasionally
-Ability to board and de-board boats, and kneel or bend frequently
- Ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude during periods of high activity
- Weekends/holidays required
Duties:
-Greet members in friendly, courteous, upbeat, and professional manner
- Safely board and onboard guests and belongings
- Checkout members using a handheld tablet
- Communicate with members via cell phone and radio
- Drive boats between slips and fuel dock
-Clean, fuel, and check vessels for safety equipment
- Familiarize yourself with local water knowledge
- Maintain clean work area - Daily clerical work
