We are willing to train the right person, however a background in the steel industry would be ideal.
Past sales experience preferred.
We need an independent, self-motivated person, to work directly with our customers, manage all aspects of the sales process and be a team player.

We are a steel processing company, we buy steel bars and put them through necessary processes for the final desired result including; grinding, straightening, heat treating, polishing and cutting to size.
Our steel bars vary in length and diameter from 1/4 inch to 16-inch diameters and lengths of 20-40 feet and up to 75 feet long.
Our bars are used for a variety of purposes including machining into parts for medical equipment; hydraulic cylinder shafting for large construction and farm equipment, tie, strain, and guide rods; stabilizing cylinders; and more.

*DUTIES:*
* Solicits business in accordance with company objectives through cold calling and email/website inquires
* Respond to Northlake Steel website inquires and take phone calls from inquiring potential customers
* Generate quotes for sales inquiries using inventory reports, labor time reports, and by working with the purchaser to acquire needed materials by customer deadlines
* Collect and input thorough and accurate customer requirements for the creation of purchase orders and work orders
* Routinely follows up on customer inquiries and conveys relevant competitive pricing, terms, delivery, and services to Company
* Maintains regular call schedule with existing customers and submits weekly call report
* Communicates daily with sales manager and customer service representatives
* Provides market and customer activity information for weekly management meeting and as events unfold
* Participates in marketing campaigns to locate and qualify new accounts and promote targeted products
*EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:*
* A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in manufacturing sales is required
* Business to Business sales experience required
* Experience in cold drawn steel bar sales preferred
* General starting knowledge of steel bars is required
* Must possess excellent interpersonal and oral and written communications skills
* Must have strong problem-solving abilities
* Must be goal oriented
