This position is for first (7am - 3pm) or second shift (3pm - 11pm).
Our ideal candidate would be flexible with hours with possible mid-shifts as well.
Requirements
Must be knowledgeable about *Opera PMS*
* Must have at least 2 year of experience in the hospitality industry
* Must have excellent communication (verbal and non-verbal), customer service, organizational, and time-management skills
* Must be knowledgeable about reservation and billing systems, as well as hotel credit card policies
* Should be familiar with all hotel services, products, rates, and special programs
* IHG Brand knowledge and training preferred
* Must maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance.
* Must have good mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities/Duties
* Gives every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide correct keys and room numbers
* Maintains and controls room inventory and availability.
* Distributes guests' mail and packages.
* Conducts inventory of and restocks supplies.
* Completes "bucket checks" each shift.
* Completes checkout procedures for guests.
* Maintains security of guest keys and cash drawer; counts and verifies the cash at the end of each shift.
* Contact appropriate individuals or departments (e.
g.
, Bellperson, Maintenance, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
* Follow up with guests regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues.
* Monitors guest accounts and notifies supervisor of any unusual changes to any guest account, or suspicious actions by guests.
* Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees
* Runs a detailed shift audit by employee, and balances daily work to computers.
* Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the managers
* Follows all company policies and procedures
* Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
* Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
* Maintains the front desk work area neat
* Completes shift checklist.
* Performs other related duties as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Front Office Supervisor.

Ability to commute/relocate:
* Cleveland, OH 44130: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
