Job Title: Call Center Support Specialist - Healthcare
Job Summary:
The Call Center Support Specialist - Healthcare will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and support to patients, healthcare providers This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly navigate complex healthcare systems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1.
Answer incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
2.
Assist patients with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and answering billing questions
3.
Provide information and support related to medical procedures, treatments, and medications
4.
Document all interactions accurately in the system
5.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to resolve patient issues and concerns
6.
Stay up-to-date on healthcare regulations and policies to provide accurate information to callers
7.
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department for resolution
8.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
2.
Previous experience in a healthcare call center or customer service role preferred
3.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
4.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes
5.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
6.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge of CRM software
7.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
8.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
