Preschool Lead Teacher - Experience in a preschool classroom is required along with a CDA or degree in Education or a related field.
You will create lesson plans and maintain documentation to provide an educational, safe, emotionally supportive environment for the children.
Parent communication is key! Pay Rate Range: $15.
00 to $17.
00/hr.
Placement in this range is dependent on professional development levels for education and training.
Additional incentives may be available for special duty assignment(s).

This position will have the opportunity to become a salaried position for the 2024-2025 Academic year along with scheduled breaks and summers off for that year.
What You Will Do!
Prepares and implements daily lesson plans and ensures high quality interaction with preschool children.
Get Children Ready for Kindergarten!
You will teach in 2 classrooms; am and pm settings
Experience with Creative Curriculum preferred; strong familiarity with lesson planning incorporating all domains of the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards
Maintains a clean, safe and emotionally supportive environment that are conducive to learning and is centered on the needs and abilities of the children
Completes developmental screenings (ASQSE2, ASQ3R) & assessments (ELA, GOLD)
Provides Referrals to families as needs are identified in children
Maintains documentation for services provided, progress reports and attendance
Works as a leader and part of a team with classroom Teacher Assistants, Center staff and Director
Builds positive relationships with families, communicates regularly with families
Participates in staff meetings, conferences, professional development and Horizon support meetings as required by position
Qualifications:
Current CDA, Associate degree or higher in ECE or related field, and be qualified to teach preschool
IF you have lesser than a BA degree, you must be willing to attend college coursework toward a BA degree (Horizon will pay for tuition)
Experience in a preschool classroom setting
