At our Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital, you will be interacting with a range of families, some that may suspect their child may have autism or others that have experience in the world of autism but need a little help navigating it.
As a Pediatric Secretary II, you will be also scheduling appointments, working with insurance authorizations, and managing our phones.

Responsibilities:
Schedules appointments for patients.
Processes and manages insurance authorizations.
Utilizes EPIC as the EMR system.
Composes, types and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required.
Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls, and handles general inquiries.
Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.
Maintains assigned calendar(s).
Establishes and maintains filing systems.
Orders and stocks supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two years of college and/or business school preferred.
Certifications:
None required.
Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
One year in Medical Records in a similar capacity.
Must have a thorough knowledge of JCAHO principles and Medical Record theory and practice.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range: $15.
75 - $21.
65 / hour
