In light of the CSJ Mission, Charism, Generous Promises and Our Sacred Work, the Development and Communications Coordinator will support the Advancing Mission and Partnerships (AMP) Team in its development and communications efforts to raise awareness about the mission, ministries, and social justice work of the Congregation of St.
Joseph, and to support its donor relations initiatives.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* *Content Creation:* * Assist with content creation for print and digital mediums including the Congregational magazine and newsletters, eNewsletter, appeal letters/packages, donor acknowledgement letters, emails, campaign materials, invitations, etc.
*Social Media:* * Assist with and support Facebook, Instagram and Twitter content procurement and creation, posting, engaging with followers, cultivating new followers, and cultivating relationships with other organizations and ministries.
* Identify and execute tactics and campaigns to convert social media followers to donors.
*Events:* * Coordinate logistics for donor related events and assist in designing and procuring invitations, programs, prayer cards, signage and other materials as needed.
*Special Projects: * * Assist with the coordination and planning of outreach efforts to increase donor engagement (i.
e.
, monthly and planned giving programs).
*Website:* * Assist with content management and maintenance of Congregational website *Additional Responsibilities:* * Assist with tracking and analyzing data from various initiatives including mailings, emails and social media to provide recommendations for future outreach efforts.
* Other duties as assigned.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* * Displays strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to be a self-starter and coordinate several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as in a collaborative, flexible and shared responsibility environment.
* Must possess a willingness to learn about, appreciate and incorporate the Congregation of St.
Joseph (CSJ) mission and charism in day-to-day operations.
*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* * B.
A.
degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field from an accredited university or 3 to 5 years of proven Development/Communication experience.
* Experience in a non-profit environment and/or donor relations capacity a plus.
* Demonstrated experience with graphic design and photo editing software (i.
e.
, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
).
* Experience with social media content management and engagement.
* Competency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) software and working knowledge of Teams platform.
* Familiar with email marketing tools (i.
e.
, Emma, Constant Contact).
*WORKING CONDITIONS:* * Standard office environment with potential for hybrid schedule – home and office.
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
* Some overnight travel may be required.
*PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS* * Ability to engage in normal office activities including lifting up to 25 lbs.
