We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter with a strong background who takes great pride in their work.
We are in search of someone passionate about creating superior products with the help of our committed machine-building team in a cooperative atmosphere.
Hours of work are 7:00 a.
m.
to 3:30 p.
m.
, Monday through Friday.
Compensation: $19 - $27 hourly Responsibilities: Full compliance with plant, state, and federal safety regulations and general work rules.
Fitting large and small complex fabrications while working with an experienced team.
Use of measuring instruments and gauges to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
Compliant with all quality standards.
Test and inspect welded surfaces.
Remain safety-conscious at all times and wear all prescribed safety equipment.
Communicate clearly with Engineers, supervisors, and fellow team employees.
Use procedures and prescribed methods to weld parts within acceptable tolerances and standards.
Read and interpret welding blueprints, standard welding symbols, travelers, and other documents on work instructions.
Exceptional attention to detail and a steady hand, a great deal of precision, and experience with MIG welding.
Inspect and correct each product before it leaves the department.
Understanding the entire steel fabrication process.
Working knowledge of saw cutting, plasma tables, press brakes, fitting, drilling, welding, and assembly.
Work on your own with minimal supervision.
Perform high mix/low volume manual TIG welding of stainless steel.
Build weldments through manual layout and manual surface prep processes when required.
Position parts to be joined using fixtures and other positioning devices.
Conform to all policies, procedures, and rules of conduct as shown in the Associate Handbook.
Weld components using manual, or semi-automatic welding in Vertical, Horizontal, and overhead positions.
Meet all productivity requirements.
Repair/maintain equipment to ensure safety and minimal downtime.
Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
Fabricate custom prototypes from supplied drawings, and fabrication of custom jigs and fixtures.
Operate brazing and soldering equipment, and operate angle grinders.
Qualifications: Possess a minimum of two years of experience in custom fabrication.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrate the capacity to comprehend blueprints.
A willingness to learn.
Pass a weld test.
